of a Mother's Love" , is still receiving praise for its heartwarming
and emotional musicality. Though the album had a small local and
internet release a couple of years ago, we will be promoting it on a larger
scale. In the meantime, Maureen is considering new projects; among the
possibilities are a voice and piano album of romantic and emotional songs
and another is a fun album of Brazilian-style bossa novas and sambas with
a very interesting instrumentation idea! Stay tuned...

Public Performances: SEPTEMBER 2002 - • The Octet was honored to be a part of the 2002 Los Angeles Jazz Society's Annual Awards Dinner, for which Octet member Roger Neumann was honored as the Composer/Arranger of the year. We performed a handful of Roger's arrangements in the ballroom at the Biltmore Hotel. Brad was Roger's presenter while Roger gratefully accepted with an amusing and heartfelt speech. We were in great company, including the night's emcee and pre-eminent jazz deejay Chuck Niles, presenters and awardees Quincy Jones, Annie Ross, Nancy Wilson, Gerald Clayton, Herbie Hancock, not to mention an audience of hundreds which included Benny Carter, Horace Silver, John Clayton and more!
